Composition:

Ω – 3 fatty acids 250 mg / g

High doses of essential fatty acids benefit every cell of the body, including skin cells in the management of pruritic skin disease. Ω – 3 fatty acids may moisturize the skin, and fight red, dry, or itchy skin, may boost hair growth and quicken wound healing.

Vitamin C 75 mg / g

Vitamin C (L – Ascorbic acid) is a strong antioxidant that can strengthen body’s natural defenses. Its primary function is to maintain collagen, a protein necessary for the formation of skin, ligaments and bones.  Vitamin C also enhances T-cell production that helps to fight off viral and bacterial infections and some allergies. Vitamin C is especially beneficial to animals with any type of chronic disease, infection allergy or dermatitis. Vitamin C supplementation is recommended to relieve oxidative stress and inflammation. Vitamin C is also an important physiological antioxidant and has been shown to regenerate other antioxidants within the body, including alpha-tocopherol (vitamin E).

Quercetin (Styphnolobium japonicum dry extract) 50 mg / g

Quercetin is a bioflavonoid, a type of phytonutrient that is produced in several plants. This particular phytonutrient has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antihistamine properties. Quercetin can be used to reduce or eliminate allergic reactions by suppressing the release of histamine by the mast cells. It can benefit for dogs and cats with seasonal environmental allergies, dogs and cats with recurring ear infections and yeast skin infections, dogs with mast cell tumors, cats with stomatitis (teeth plaque allergy).

Lycopene (Solanum lycopersicum fruit extract) 50 mg / g

Lycopene is a carotenoid – a natural pigment that gives some plants (e.g. Tomato) their red color. It helps balance the pH of the skin, regulate sebum and is a powerful antioxidant that helps prevent collagen deterioration. This antioxidant also works to scavenge free radicals.

Calcium – D – Pantothenate 25 mg / g

Calcium Pantothenate is the calcium salt of the water-soluble vitamin B5, ubiquitously found in plants and animal tissues with antioxidant property. Pentothenate is a component of coenzyme A (CoA) and a part of the vitamin B2 complex. Vitamin B5 is a growth factor and is essential for various metabolic functions, including the metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins, and fatty acids. This vitamin is also involved in the synthesis of lipids, neurotransmitters and hemoglobin.

Pyridoxine hydrochloride 25 mg / g

Pyridoxine hydrochloride is a source of the essential B-complex vitamin pyridoxine. Pyridoxine hydrochloride is an important component of enzymes needed for protein metabolism. Beyond just building muscles, it is also extremely important in helping your pet’s body built protein structures like hair, nails, enzymes and growth hormones.

Niacin 25 mg / g

Niacin is a water-soluble vitamin that is essential for energy metabolism. The major function of niacin is in the coenzyme forms of nicotinamide, NAD and NADP. NAD and NADP coenzymes are especially important in the metabolic reactions that furnish energy to the animal. They acts in reactions that are of paramount importance for normal tissue integrity, particularly for the skin, the gastrointestinal tract and the nervous system.

Biotin 20 mg / g

Biotin is a water-soluble B vitamin also called vitamin H. It is one of the most important nutrients in the body. Biotin plays a large role in maintaining healthy skin and hair, as well as playing an important role in growth, digestion, muscle formation and in enabling the body to use glucose as an energy source. D-biotin synthesizes fatty acids and is important for maintaining healthy skin, coat and nails.

Coenzyme Q10 15 mg / g

CoQ10 helps to control the flow of oxygen within cells. It also acts as an anti-oxidant by reducing damage to cells caused by free radicals. Q10 supplementation for dogs and cats has been recommended on various for treatment or prevention of age-related cognitive dysfunction, reduced immune system functionality and kidney disease.

β – Carotene 15 mg / g

The protection against reactive oxygen species, realized by quenching of singlet oxygen and the excited states of photosensitizing molecules, as well as by the scavenging of free radicals, is one of the main biological functions of β – Carotene and other carotenoids. Beta-carotene increases antibody levels in the blood. This helps dogs and cats fight off illnesses and infections. Once β – Carotene is converted into vitamin A, it can also improve eyesight and skin and coat health.

Melatonin 1.5 mg / g

Melatonin is a hormone that is synthesized by the pineal gland. It can improve coat condition leading to its use to treat hair cycle arrest alopecia such as cyclical flank alopecia and pattern baldness. Its effect to inhibit the secretion of luteinizing hormone and follicle stimulating hormone may be the reason why it has been useful in some of the more unusual “endocrine type” alopecias in dogs such as Alopecia X.

Vitamin B12 650 µg / g

Cobalamin (Vitamin B12) helps to regulate the production of pigment in the skin. Cobalamin also assists the body with the metabolism of protein that, in turn, promotes the growth of healthy skin cells and helps to repair damaged skin.

Folic acid 650 µg / g

Folic acid is found to be very good for the skin as it helps in improving blood flow. A healthy blood circulation helps in developing the health of skin. Besides, the antioxidant agent of folic acid will protect the skin from free radicals. Thus, folic acid will make the skin glow with health.

Instructions for use: 1 capsule for up to 15 kg BW daily. Capsules can be pulled apart and the content can be mixed into pet food. Or as advised by your veterinary surgeon
